Eleanore Vaines Scholarship

Students in the Faculty of Education at UBC's Vancouver campus are eligible for these scholarships, with preference for students with a concentration or major in Home Economics. Scholarships totalling $2,350 are awarded, with individual amounts varying. There is no separate application; the awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Education.

The scholarships were endowed by family, friends, colleagues, and alumni in honour of Dr. Eleanore Vaines, who influenced the thinking and professional practice of educators and home economics professionals in British Columbia and Canada.
