About this scholarship
Graduates of El Dorado High School who have been continuously enrolled in the El Dorado School District since at least ninth grade (by October 1) may receive tuition and mandatory fees up to the highest Arkansas public university rate, prorated by years in district. Award amount varies based on enrollment history.
The scholarship is renewable for up to five consecutive years with a 2.0 GPA and successful completion of 12 credit hours per semester. Funds may be used at any regionally accredited U.S. public or private college or university toward an associate or bachelor's degree.
Apply during senior year after choosing a college. The El Dorado Promise covers every qualifying EPS graduate admitted to an accredited two- or four-year institution.

- Must graduate from El Dorado High School (El Dorado, Arkansas school district)
- Must have been continuously enrolled in the El Dorado School District since on or before October 1 of ninth grade (earlier enrollment = higher award percentage; K-12 = 100%, 9-12 = 65%)
- No GPA or academic merit requirement to receive the award (available regardless of economic situation or academic merit)
- Application completed during senior year, after college selection, submitted to guidance counselor or mailed; no application fee
- Renewal: maintain 2.0 college GPA, enroll in 12+ credit hours/semester, complete 24+ credit hours annually
- Apply during senior year after choosing a college; submit to the guidance counselor or by mail.
- Award amount is prorated by years of El Dorado School District enrollment.
- Renewable for up to five consecutive years with a 2.0 college GPA, 12 credit hours per semester, and 24 credit hours annually.
