About this scholarship
Massachusetts early childhood and out-of-school educators, or prospective educators planning eligible employment, who enroll in approved certificate, associate, bachelor's, or master's programs at eligible Massachusetts institutions may apply through the MASSAid Student Portal.
Award amounts vary by institution type, with per-credit funding subject to semester caps. Recipients must complete the FAFSA, register with the EEC Professional Qualifications Registry, and agree to continue working in early childhood education in Massachusetts after graduation or repay the funds.
The program was established by the Legislature to increase the quality and availability of teachers and care providers for young children in inclusive settings.
