About this scholarship

African American citizens of the United States or Canada enrolled in or accepted by an ALA-accredited graduate library and information science program may apply for the E.J. Josey Scholarship from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association.

The award is a $5,000 unrestricted grant. Applicants who received a BCALA scholarship within the past year are not eligible.
