About this scholarship

Outstanding undergraduate print-journalism students at a Georgia college or university who are Georgia residents with financial need may apply for the Durwood McAlister Scholarship. Prior interest in newspaper journalism and a counselor, professor, or GPA recommendation are expected.

Award amounts vary through the Georgia Press Educational Foundation.

Submit the GPEF scholarship application by February 1 for the academic year.
