About this scholarship
Undergraduate students of Romanian origin who are U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents may apply for the Dumitru Golea Goldy-Gemu Scholarship from the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America.
Two $1,500 awards are granted annually. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years.
Submit a complete application with acceptance letter or transcript, three letters of recommendation, a recent photograph, and a 300-word handwritten essay on how Romanian heritage helps make you a better American or Canadian by May 31. High school seniors, current undergraduates, and returning students in the upper third of their class are eligible.
