Dumbarton Oaks Summer Research Fellowship

Graduate scholars beyond first-year post-baccalaureate study in Byzantine or Pre-Columbian studies may apply for an eight-week summer research fellowship at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, DC. Summer 2026 on-site fellowships are not offered; the program resumes Summer 2027.

The stipend is $300 per week for eight weeks ($2,400 total), plus housing, weekday lunch, an optional health insurance arrangement, and travel or visa support.

Apply through Embark by November 1 with two letters of recommendation.
