About this scholarship
Hawaii resident high school seniors nominated by a school athletic official, administrator, or coach who meet Ambassador of Aloha Scholarship criteria at the highest level may be selected for the Duke Award from the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation.
Nominees must be U.S. citizens with at least a 3.5 GPA and strong records in athletics, academics, and community service. One one-time award of up to $15,000 recognizes character traits of Duke Kahanamoku. Nominations are due January 25.
Non-finalists roll into the Ambassador of Aloha applicant pool. The Duke Award honors the legendary Hawaiian swimmer and Olympic gold medalist.
