About this scholarship

Long Island high school seniors in Nassau or Suffolk counties who demonstrate financial need and community service may apply for United Way of Long Island DREAMS for Youth Academic Scholarships.

Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 toward college, university, or vocational school costs including tuition, fees, room and board, or commuter expenses.

Submit one PDF with two recommendation letters, transcript, resume, parent tax return (SSN redacted), and a 500-word essay answering one of three prompts by May 16.
