About this scholarship
Hawaii residents of at least 50% Korean ethnicity who are college-bound high school graduates or current undergraduates may apply for the Dr. Syngman Rhee Scholarship from Dong Ji Hoi.
Award amounts vary. Selection considers academic achievement, financial need, and personal growth. Both new applicants and past recipients may apply.
Submit an application form, an essay on Dr. Syngman Rhee (up to one page), a personal statement, activity and awards lists, a letter of recommendation, an admission letter if applicable, and an official transcript by April 30. The scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Syngman Rhee.
