Dr. Paul Tang Memorial Graduate Scholarship in Philosophy

Graduate students in the UBC Department of Philosophy at UBC Vancouver may be considered for scholarships from the estate of Dr. Paul Tang.

The award amount varies. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.

Dr. Tang earned his undergraduate degree at UBC and a PhD in Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis. He taught at California State University, Long Beach for over 22 years, mentoring many students and directing about 25 M.A. theses.
