Dr. P. Anthony Johnstone Memorial Bursary

Humanities or social science master's or doctoral students at Dalhousie University with satisfactory academic standing, demonstrated financial need, and a record of interest in social justice and human rights may apply. Canadian and international students are eligible.

Four $1,000 bursaries are awarded annually. Apply by October 31 at 4 p.m. ADT. Recipients also receive a copy of The Life & Thoughts of Tony Johnstone.

The bursary honours Dr. P. Anthony Johnstone, a Dalhousie-educated educator and former Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.
