Dr. Margaret Carlson Fellowship in Music

Outstanding graduate students in the UBC School of Music may be nominated for this fellowship. Financial need may be considered.

Fellowships totalling $25,000 come from an endowment established by Dr. Margaret A. Carlson (B.Sc. 1958, M.D. 1964). No separate application is required; the UBC School of Music makes recommendations in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Dr. Carlson created the award to assist students in pursuing their musical passions. Music played a vital role in her life, including during years she practiced family medicine in Merritt, BC.
