About this scholarship
Open to M.D. students who demonstrate interest in applying digital emergency medicine in rural, urban, or remote contexts. Preference goes to students who demonstrate financial need and to students from communities that have been historically, persistently, and systemically marginalized.
The award amount varies. It is funded through an endowment by Dr. Kendall Ho (M.D. 1986).
Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine. There is no separate application.
Dr. Ho is an emergency medicine specialist who leads the Digital Emergency Medicine Unit and established this award to help future physicians improve healthcare access for vulnerable communities through digital approaches.
