About this scholarship
Kentucky students pursuing a Master of Public Administration at a Kentucky-based institution, in person or online, may apply for the Dr. Joseph W. Coleman Memorial Scholarship from the Kentucky League of Cities.
One $5,000 award is granted annually. The scholarship does not automatically renew, though prior winners may reapply. KLC staff and their family members are ineligible.
Email application materials by June 5, including MPA enrollment documentation, an official transcript, and either a 500-word essay or a video (up to three minutes) on the importance of city government in the commonwealth. An optional letter of recommendation may be sent separately. The scholarship honors Joseph Coleman's commitment to continuous learning and local government.
