Dr. James L. and Evelyn Ribbs Hutchinson Medical Scholarship

College seniors accepted to medical school or students currently enrolled full time in an accredited medical school program who graduated from a high school in San Mateo or Santa Clara County (or permanently resided there during high school) may apply for the Dr. James L. and Evelyn Ribbs Hutchinson Medical School Scholarship through Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens may receive up to $2,000 to support medical school expenses. Applicants should demonstrate personal motivation for excellence in character and academic achievement, including integrity, leadership, and community involvement.

Complete the application with proof of medical school acceptance or enrollment, transcripts, and documentation of community service. The fund honors Dr. and Mrs. Hutchinson and their legacy in medicine and the local community.
