About this scholarship
Fourth-year undergraduate students at UBC with overall outstanding academic achievement and outstanding distinction in German Studies may receive this scholarship.
Scholarships totalling $2,450 are available through an endowment established by William H. MacInnes in memory of his sister, Dr. Isabel MacInnes. The awards are made on the recommendation of the German Program in the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies.
Professor Isabel MacInnes chaired the German section of Modern Languages from 1915 to 1946, then headed the new Department of German until her retirement in 1948.
