Dr. Glenn Bowlsby Memorial Award in Indigenous Family Practice

Open to fourth-year UBC Vancouver M.D. students in good academic standing who have been matched to a residency in family practice at the Indigenous training site.

Award amounts vary. Family, friends, and the wider community endowed the awards in memory of Dr. Glenn Bowlsby (1958-2020).

No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine.

Glenn (M.D. 1983) was a co-founder of the Kílala Lelum Urban Indigenous Health and Healing Cooperative, a partnership of Indigenous Elders and health professionals providing essential care in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
