About this scholarship

Full-time MD students at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine conducting summer research in degenerative eye diseases at the Department of Ophthalmology may apply. Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected/refugee status holders, and international students. Example research areas include age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, retinitis pigmentosa, hereditary optic neuropathies, and chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia (CPEO). This studentship cannot be combined with another summer research scholarship.

The award is valued at a minimum of $5,000.
