Dr. Dimitrios Giannoulis Prize Overseas Rotation Research Project Anesthesia

For UBC anesthesia residents in training to support travel abroad to provide educational and clinical services or to complete a research project abroad.

Prizes are endowed in memory of Dr. Dimitrios Giannoulis by family, friends, and colleagues in the Department of Anesthesia, Vancouver Acute Health Services (VGH and UBCH). Award amounts vary.

There is no separate application. The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, in consultation with the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Giannoulis was Director of Anesthesia Undergraduate Training at UBC and helped establish the Division of Regional Anesthesia at VAHS. He passed away in 2008 at age 38.
