Dr. Allan Jones Southern Medical Program Award

For fourth-year MD students in the Southern Medical Program in good academic standing who have worked with underserved populations through community service, volunteerism, or clinical placements. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated service, empathy, and resilience during clinical training.

Awards are offered through an endowment established by friends and colleagues of Dr. Allan Jones. Award amounts vary.

There is no separate application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Southern Medical Program.

Dr. Allan Jones was the founding Regional Associate Dean, Interior of the Southern Medical Program from 2009 to 2019 and played a key role in developing the program.
