Dr. Abdus Salam (Nobel Laureate) Bursary

Graduate students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology at York University's Markham Campus may apply.

The bursary is $2,500 and supports one recipient unless the donor gift is increased.

Named for Dr. Abdus Salam (1926-1996), a pioneering theoretical physicist and 1979 Nobel laureate in Physics, the first Pakistani and first Muslim scientist to receive a Nobel Prize in science. The bursary aims to encourage excellence in scientific research and innovation in the Faculty of Science.
