About this scholarship
Open to University of New Brunswick undergraduate students whose instructors submit their best composition in prose or verse in Greek, Latin, or English on a subject within the regular course of study.
One medal is awarded annually; the value varies. Undergraduate theses or reports may be considered alongside essays or verse from regular coursework, revised with instructor comments.
Compositions are submitted by instructors, with student consent, through the department to a committee appointed by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research.

- Awarded for the best composition in prose or verse in the Greek, Latin or English languages, on any subject within the regular course of study
- Eligible works are undergraduate theses/reports or essays/verse compositions produced as part of regular class work
- No student application: compositions are nominated and submitted by instructors (with the student's consent) through the department to a committee appointed by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Researc
- Presented annually at Encaenia/Convocation; not renewable, one award per year
- The committee selects the best eligible composition.
