TEA members who are graduate students pursuing graduate studies in education at a Tennessee college or university may apply for this $1,000 Don Sahli-Kathy Woodall award.

Applications go through a local TEA affiliate with the local president's recommendation. Selection weighs academic excellence, leadership, economic need, and interest in teaching.

The fund honors Dr. Donald G. Sahli, a former TEA executive secretary, and Kathy Woodall, a TEA president who died in office.
