About this scholarship
Michigan high school seniors with close social and cultural ties to the Malayalee community may apply for the Detroit Malayalee Association Scholarship. Applicants need at least a 3.0 GPA, at least one Malayalee parent who is a Michigan resident, and demonstrated academic merit or community involvement.
Awards are $1,000 each. Submit an online application with academic details, a personal statement, standardized test scores, and one reference letter. Applications close July 31.
The DMA scholarship committee selects recipients by assessing merit, achievements, and ties to the Malayalee community. Awards are presented at DMA public functions.
