About this scholarship
U.S. high school juniors or seniors who identify as Black or African-American, Native American, or Latinx-American, hold a minimum 2.5 GPA, and pursue healthcare careers while inspiring others may apply for the Desire To Inspire Scholarship from Black Man, M.D.
Three tiered awards are granted: $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second, and $500 for third. Semi-finalists participate in interviews and public voting.
Submit the application with essay responses by the deadline. The scholarship recognizes young people from historically underrepresented groups making a determined effort to inspire others in healthcare.
