About this scholarship
Arizona graduating high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA, demonstrated financial need, 50 or more hours of verified community service, and membership in Desert Financial or relation to a member in good standing may apply.
Thirty awards of $3,000 each are distributed directly to Arizona colleges or universities.
Complete the online application in one sitting with details on qualifying community service, essays on educational goals and volunteer experience, and FAFSA-based financial need documentation. Service hours must be with eligible nonprofit or approved organizations.

- Be a current Desert Financial member or a relative of a member in good standing
- Provide Student Aid Index score from FAFSA (demonstrated financial need)
- Complete 50 or more hours of verifiable community service in the prior calendar year at IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofits or qualifying groups (e.g., NHS, Girl Scouts, Key Club, Rotary)
- Provide per-organization service details: org name/state, activities performed, population served, total hours, supervisor name/email/phone
- If advanced in selection, submit a certified transcript and FAFSA Student Aid Index; volunteer coordinators are contacted to certify hours
