Dean Rickey Yada Award in Land and Food Systems

For undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC Vancouver who have achieved good academic standing and demonstrated community service, volunteerism, and leadership skills.

Awards of varying amounts are available through an endowment established by Dean Rickey Yada (B.Sc. 1977, M.Sc. 1980, Ph.D. 1984), who joined UBC as Dean in 2014 after leadership roles at the University of Guelph in food science research and administration. Graduate recipients are selected in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
