Dean Henry Gunning Entrance Award in Engineering

For outstanding domestic undergraduate students entering the Bachelor of Applied Science program at UBC Vancouver directly from high school. In addition to academic merit, candidates must have demonstrated leadership through extracurricular or volunteer activities such as professional, school, social, and community organizations or athletics.

Awards from an endowment; individual amounts vary. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Applied Science.

The endowment was established by the Graduating Engineering Class of 1958 in memory of Dean Henry C. Gunning (1901-1991), who served as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science from 1954 to 1959.
