About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors with strong academic merit who plan to attend an accredited U.S. college may apply for the DCU for Kids Annual Memorial Scholarship. DCU membership is not required.
Up to 80 awards range from $1,500 to $2,500 based on essay quality, recommendations, and activities.
Create an account in the DCU for Kids application portal and submit transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and the memorial scholarship essay. All materials must be submitted through the online portal.

- Unofficial high school transcript covering junior year and senior year to date
- Two written letters of reference from junior or senior teachers and/or guidance counselors
- Memorial scholarship essay
- Unofficial transcript of high school grades for senior year (to date) AND junior year (full year)
- Two written letters of reference from any junior or senior class teachers and/or guidance counselors (no extracurricular, community, faith-based, or employer letters accepted)
- Must be a graduating high school senior
- Must be registered to attend a state or nationally accredited two- or four-year college/university in Fall 2026
- Application submitted via scholarship portal (https://webportalapp.com/sp/dcu_2026) by 3pm ET on Friday, March 6, 2026
- All materials must be submitted through the DCU for Kids online application portal.
- References from extracurricular, community, faith-based, or employer sources are not accepted.
