David Nairne Memorial Scholarship

For undergraduate or graduate First Nations, Inuit, or Métis students of Canada in UBC Civil Engineering, Architecture, and/or the School of Community and Regional Planning, with preference for Civil Engineering students.

Scholarships come from an endowment established by family, friends, and colleagues of David Nairne (B.A.Sc. 1964). Award amounts vary.

There is no separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Applied Science, with consultation from the First Nations House of Learning and, for graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

David Nairne founded David Nairne and Associates Ltd. and worked with First Nations communities across BC and Yukon for over thirty years.
