David James Anderson Memorial Award

Grade 12 students at Forest Lawn High School in Calgary who are completing a high school diploma, show academic progress, have marks sufficient for post-secondary entrance, demonstrate financial need, and show school or community leadership, volunteering, or athletic achievement may apply.

One $1,000 award. Submit one reference letter from a school official, employer, or community leader and apply online through EducationMatters. Selection is school-specific; recipients are notified by September. The award must be used within fifteen months of graduation at a Canadian post-secondary or trades program. Established in memory of David James Anderson, a former athletic coach at Forest Lawn.
