About this scholarship
Children of local first responders who are graduating high school seniors from an accredited school (including home-schooled students) or current college or trade school students may apply for the Dave Ledo Scholarship from Alarm Products Distributors. Applicants must reside in Minneapolis, St. Paul, or the surrounding suburbs and demonstrate leadership and community volunteerism.
Recipients receive $2,500. Award amounts may vary if additional donations are received. The number of recipients varies.
Submit a completed application, a typed essay of up to 500 words, an official transcript, proof of the parent or guardian's first-responder occupation, a resume with volunteer service documentation, and a recommendation letter.

- Recommendation letter from a high school counselor, teacher or other who can attest to the student’s character
