Dave Burgess and Doug Estergaard Award of Distinction

Douglas College students in the Youth Justice or Child and Youth Care programs who exhibit tenacity, humour, critical thinking, independent thought, and academic excellence may qualify.

The award value varies. One recipient is selected each year, alternating between the Child and Youth Care program in even years and the Youth Justice program in odd years.

Apply through Douglas College student awards. The award was established in memory of Dave Burgess and Doug Estergaard, colleagues who valued these qualities in outstanding students and youth support workers.
