About this scholarship
Connecticut residents who are graduating high school seniors or pursuing a post-secondary path may apply for Dare Greatly Foundation Scholarships. Applicants must demonstrate strong character, commitment to service or civic involvement, leadership potential, and resilience through personal challenges while pursuing college, trade school, certification programs, or a purpose-driven endeavor aligned with community impact.
Ten $1,000 scholarships are awarded. Financial need may be considered but is not the sole factor.
Submit the application form, a personal essay on character and service, a transcript, letters of recommendation, and a summary of community involvement by the deadline. The foundation honors Staff Sergeant Tanner Romanos, a U.S. Air Force veteran who died in 2022.
