Dan Whitworth Memorial Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors or enrolled college students pursuing degrees in sports sciences, kinesiology, conservation, physical education, recreation, tourism management, or related fields with intent to enter parks and recreation careers may apply for the Dan Whitworth Memorial Scholarship through the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation.

Award amounts and the number of recipients vary. High school applicants need top-quarter class rank or a 2.5 GPA (850 SAT or 21 ACT minimum) and acceptance to an accredited college for at least 12 credit hours. College applicants need a 2.5 GPA and full-time enrollment. Preference goes to students attending Texas colleges.

Submit the online application and supporting documents by March 31.
