About this scholarship

Students enrolled in any certificate or diploma program at SAIT who demonstrate financial need may apply. Preference is given to descendants of the original pioneers of the Special Areas Board; if none qualify, preference goes to a student who attended high school within the Special Areas Board jurisdiction.

One general award of $2,750 is offered for the Winter semester. Applicants must submit a legal land description and proof of ancestry, plus confirmation from the Special Areas Board Office that the ancestor's land is within board boundaries.

Submit documentation to the Student Awards Office via your mySAIT account. Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid by February 28.
