About this scholarship
U.S. citizens diagnosed with cancer who experienced significant financial burden from treatment and are accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational school may apply for the Lep Foundation CURE Cancer Support Scholarship. Awards provide $5,000 toward tuition and education-related expenses.
Submit a one-page essay on your diagnosis and goals, an official transcript, and three non-family recommendation letters by email. Physician confirmation of diagnosis is required after selection. The scholarship is offered by the Lep Foundation and CURE Magazine.

- Essay length is specified as 'one-page' only — no explicit word or character count is given in the official application
- Provide a copy of school transcript (official documentation; all grades must be substantiated)
- Three (3) letters of recommendation from non-family members
- Letter of confirmation by a licensed physician as proof of cancer diagnosis (required only AFTER award notification, NOT submitted with the application)
- Completed application form (name, contact, DOB, school, GPA, colleges applied/accepted, school/community activities, employment)
- Financial Need Report (parent/guardian income for 2025; all fields required, use N/A if not applicable)
- Applicant signature plus parent/guardian signatures
- Must be a US citizen residing in the USA
- Must be accepted for admission at an institution of higher education
- Submit in PDF and DOC format only, no JPGs
- All materials e-mailed to thelepfoundation@gmail.com by the June 1, 2026 deadline
- A licensed physician's confirmation of cancer diagnosis is required only after award notification.
