About this scholarship
Bilingual English and Spanish-speaking students pursuing LVN or RN degrees through LVN/LPN, ADN, Traditional BSN, or RN-to-BSN pathways in eligible Dallas-Fort Worth metro counties may apply for Cuidado Casero Foundation nursing scholarships. Awards provide up to $4,000 based on available funding.
Applicants need U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or DACA status, a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need via FAFSA, and acceptance into an accredited nursing program. Submit a 500-word essay, two recommendations, and transcripts; semi-finalists interview in person.

- Current resume highlighting extracurricular activities, volunteer work, certifications, and awards
- Unofficial transcripts
- Semi-finalists: official transcripts sent directly from institution
- Semi-finalists: enrollment or acceptance letter into an accredited nursing program
- Semi-finalists: citizenship/residency documentation (birth certificate, passport, naturalization papers, or DACA proof)
- Semi-finalists: in-person interview with at least two scholarship committee members
