About this scholarship
College or trade-school-bound members of Maryland or D.C.-based credit unions, or credit unions affiliated with the MD|DC Credit Union Association, may apply for foundation scholarships.
Twelve awards of $2,000 are available: ten essay-based and two video-based. Freshmen through seniors may apply and may submit entries in both categories.
Submit a 750-word essay or 60-second video by April 15. Winners are announced in June. Essay and video topics focus on financial health and money management lessons learned through your credit union.

- Ten $2,000 essay-based scholarships available; applicants may also apply for one of two $2,000 video-based scholarships (separate category requires a 60-second video)
- Submit either a 750-word essay or a 60-second video; applicants may enter both award categories.
