About this scholarship

U.S. citizens who are undergraduate landscape architecture students in the final two years of study at Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited schools may apply. Applicants must show financial need and at least a C average. Funds must cover tuition, books, and program-required supplies in the award year only.

The award is $5,000. In addition to LAF's standard materials (form, photo, bio, resume), submit a financial aid form, two recommendation letters from current professors, and an essay of 500 words or less on aspirations, obstacles overcome, drive, and need for aid.

The scholarship honors Courtland P. Paul, FASLA, a pioneering California landscape architect known for community design, master planning, and work on golf courses, hotels, and theme parks.
