About this scholarship
The College Television Awards, run by the Television Academy Foundation for over 40 years, honor excellence in student-produced video, digital, and television content from U.S. colleges and universities. Student teams submit work produced during the previous academic year in nine categories, including animation, comedy, drama, news, nonfiction, sports, and commercial/PSA; comedy and drama series are for undergraduates, and scripted series is for graduate students.
Entries are judged by Television Academy members using an Emmy-style process, and winners are honored at a Hollywood ceremony with over $40,000 in cash prizes. The Chance Perdomo Legacy Scholarship adds a $10,000 award for the winning Comedy Series team.
Submit online through the Television Academy portal with a $25 entry fee. The 45th cycle ran September 23 to October 10, 2025; submissions open each fall.
