About this scholarship

Incoming first-year College of Wooster students who apply Early Decision or Early Action and audition in voice, composition, or an instrument for which Wooster offers private instruction may compete for Music Scholarships. Transfer students are not eligible.

Awards range from $2,000 to $8,000 per year. Recipients need not major in music but must take private lessons and participate in ensembles each semester. Lesson fees are reduced to $25 per semester for half-hour weekly lessons.

Complete the general admission application, submit the Music Scholarship form, provide one or two music teacher recommendations, and attend an audition weekend at Scheide Music Center.
