About this scholarship

Adult learners age 19 or older who have interrupted their education for at least two semesters, qualify for the Federal Pell Grant, and reside in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, or Wayne counties may apply.

Applicants must file the FAFSA and pursue a first certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree at a Pell-eligible public or private nonprofit institution.

Renewable awards are generally $1,500 to $2,000 per academic year, split between fall and spring semesters, for up to five years based on at least half-time enrollment. Submit the online application with two 300-to-500-word essays, transcript, and FAFSA Submission Summary.
