About this scholarship
For third- and fourth-year MD students interested in practicing in a rural community. Preference is given to students from underserved communities. Financial need may be considered.
Awards are offered through an endowment established by Colleen Froese (B.Sc. 1975, M.D. 1982) and Wayne Brown (B.Com. 1981). Award amounts vary.
There is no separate application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Froese grew up in Terrace and established the award with Mr. Brown to help remove barriers for physicians who wish to contribute to rural communities.
