About this scholarship
Graduating seniors or former graduates of public or private high schools in Lincoln, Nebraska, including GED recipients residing in the area, who plan to attend an accredited nonprofit college or university may apply through the Lincoln Community Foundation Student Success Scholarship general application for the Colleen Farrell Gerleman Scholarship.
Award amounts vary. Preference goes to students pursuing undergraduate study at Nebraska institutions, and financial need may be considered.
Previous recipients may reapply in later years with a full application. The Lincoln Community Foundation administers more than 90 scholarship funds for Nebraska students.

- The general application also includes a main essay (the supplemental section says 'Try to include information not already shared in your previous essay'), but that essay's exact prompt and word limit
- Eligibility: current graduating high school seniors or former graduates of public/private high schools in Lancaster County, NE, or GED graduates residing in Lancaster County, NE
- Must plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year nonprofit college/university (preference for Nebraska institutions); financial need may be considered
- Applicants also list up to five other scholarships/grants expected for the upcoming year (name and amount)
