About this scholarship

U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents committed to aviation careers may apply for Col. Robert P. Moore Scholarships through the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, with Hawaii residents primarily supported.

Two tracks are available: Initial Pilot Training for students holding an FAA Student Pilot Certificate pursuing private, sport, recreation, or other pilot certificates; and CFI Certification for commercial pilots or ATPs pursuing flight instructor certification. Drone certification is not eligible. Award amounts vary by training path.

Submit the required FAA certificates and test completion documentation with the application. Recipients have up to one year to complete flight goals, and funds are distributed to the training provider or collegiate program.
