About this scholarship

Rutgers University-New Brunswick students who are descendants of alumni from classes 1940, 1941, 1949, 1970, 1978, 1982, 1983, or the Rutgers College Class of 1980 may be considered for class endowed scholarships.

Awards range from $500 to up to $5,000 per year based on academic credentials and available funds. Not all awards are renewable.

Email scholarships@admissions.rutgers.edu by May 1 with your name, RUID, and the alumnus's school, graduation year, and your relationship.

What else to submit

  • Must be a descendant of a Rutgers alumnus from a specific class year: 1940, 1941, 1949, 1970, 1978, 1982, 1983, or the Rutgers College Class of 1980
  • Email a request to scholarships@admissions.rutgers.edu by May 1
  • Email must include your name, RUID, and the name of the Rutgers alumnus plus his/her Rutgers school, year of graduation, and your relationship to the alumnus
  • Selection is based on academic credentials
