About this scholarship
Clarity Credit Union members planning to attend an accredited college, university, trade, or vocational school may apply for the Mary M. Jones Memorial Scholarship.
One $2,500 award is granted annually. Returning applicants need a 3.0 GPA or higher. Submit the application, acceptance letter, two recommendation letters from non-family members, essay or video, resume, and transcript to marketing@claritycu.com by May 29.
The scholarship honors longtime board member Mary M. Jones and her commitment to Clarity Credit Union members.

- Current high-school transcript
- Essay OR video: applicants may respond in either a 3-to-5 minute video OR a 300-to-500 word essay covering both questions
- Word limit of 300-500 words applies to the essay as a whole (both questions combined), not per question
- Two letters of recommendation from adults (educators, administrators, or work colleagues) not related to you, addressing 3 specified questions
- Letter of acceptance from the school you will attend
- PDF copy of resume (extracurriculars, community service, work experience)
- PDF copy of current high school transcript showing GPA
- Must be a primary shareholder/member of Clarity Credit Union ($5 to open an account)
- Submissions checked for AI writing/development; if AI is deemed present, the application is denied
- Returning prior recipients must show GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Deadline: 11:59 pm MST on May 29, 2026; email PDF application to marketing@claritycu.com
- Applicant must plan to attend an eligible accredited institution.
- Submit either a 3-to-5-minute video or a 300-to-500-word essay addressing both application questions.
- Applications containing AI writing or development are denied.
- Returning prior recipients must have a GPA of at least 3.0.
