About this scholarship
West Virginia residents who completed all four years of high school in West Virginia and enroll in WVU's Statler College of Engineering may apply for the Claire M. LaPlante Engineering Scholarship.
The merit-based award provides up to $12,500 per year for Biomedical Engineering or up to $10,000 per year for a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering dual major, totaling up to $50,000. Requirements include a 3.8 GPA, Honors College admission, and minimum SAT 1400 or ACT 32.
One award is granted annually. Applications are due February 21 via clairelaplante.com.
